Newsworthy: OHAAT’s Mission To End Child Bedlessness

One House at a Time’s Executive Director, Kate Fay, and Beds for Kids program recipient Zykeah were interviewed recently by CBS News Philadelphia Reporter Madeleine Wright.

Zykeah generously shared her story, illustrating the postive impact the Beds for Kids program has on area children and youth. Prior to receiving a new bed through OHAAT’s program, this 16-year-old was trying to sleep on a broken mattress and getting poked with springs. Now she is getting the restful sleep she needs in a warm, comfortable bed.

Kate and Madeleine talked about the growth of the Beds for Kids program over recent years and the ongoing need for the program our community faces as families living in poverty are struggling with a wealth of challenges.
