Beat the End-of-Summer Blues

As the unofficial end of summer draws near and kids head back to school, it's no surprise if you're feeling a little blue. OHAAT has just the thing to cheer you up -- a free, fun-filled Open House event! Join us at the warehouse on Saturday, September 28th from 2pm-5pm for food, games, raffles, friends, and fun times!

WHAT'S NEW AT OHAAT?

Summer Campaign

This summer, OHAAT's goal was to raise $40,000 to purchase 450 brand new mattresses to deliver to children in need. Thank you so much to everyone who donated to help support the Beds for Kids program! There's still time to help - donate by August 31st!

Fritz's Fundraiser

Purchase some delicious sticky buns from Fritz's Bakery! For just $12 per half dozen, you can support the Beds for Kids program and help children in need in our community. Choose from five raisin mix. Orders are due by September 15th, and can be picked up at the OHAAT Warehouse on September 28thth between 2pm-5pm. Order here!

IKEA Conshohocken Collection Drive

IKEA Conshohocken is generously hosting a collection drive to benefit the Beds for Kids program now through September 6th. Drop off or purchase new twin sheets, pillows, blankets, or stuffed animals and place them in the collection bins at either the entrance or exit. Thank you!

Jenkintown Festival of the Arts

Join OHAAT for an unforgettable day of art, music, food, and community spirit. The Jenkintown Festival of the Arts will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, rain or shine, in Jenkintown Town Square.

Lower Gwynedd

Fall Fest

Visit OHAAT as well as a variety of vendors, local groups, and food trucks! This wonderful fesitval will take place on Saturday, September 21st from 12-5pm at Wissahickon High School. Hope to see you there!

Story Time

Join OHAAT for a story time hour on the main floor (kid’s area) of Greater Olney Library for some story time fun! This event will include a reading by Philadelphia children’s author Gerald Jackson, and will take place on October 5th from 11am-12pm at 5501 North 5th Street in Philadelphia.

Faith and Blue

Connect with community resources and law enforcement officers at the Willow Grove YMCA on October 5th from 10am-1pm. There will be free children’s activities, food trucks, vendors, fire trucks, K-9 dogs, and guest speakers. The YMCA is located at 3300 Davisville Road in Hatboro.

International Volunteers

The KB Foundation planned a volunteer event with both local kids and some visiting from Cote D'Ivoire. Their trip was jam-packed, but they still made time to volunteer at the warehouse. You can watch more about some of the things this inspirational youth group did here.
